The pendant is in mint condition and signed on the bottom. It showcases a charming clipper ship design on the lid, a moving handle, and a lid that opens and securely closes in the front. Measuring 17 mm in length, 14 mm in height, and 12 mm in depth.

Al Doucette, born and raised in New Bedford, began his career sculpting and creating scrimshaw while working as a commercial fisherman. In the early 1960s, he started producing small carved sea creatures and etchings for Nantucket Basket handbags, and he continues to create beautiful works of art today at the age of 89.
